Leadership & Recruiting Support
The SportsRecruits integration will be led by Stephen Watters, who brings extensive experience across player development, recruitment, and performance analysis at both the collegiate and international levels.
In his role as Assistant Coach with the Pre-College Development Academy (PCDA), Watters was heavily involved in both coaching and recruitment, helping players understand their pathway options, prepare for exposure events, and communicate effectively with college programs. His impact was reflected in the success of the program, with 88% of the 2024-25 roster securing placements in college soccer.
Watters also served as a Men’s First Team Performance Analyst at the Institute of Technology Carlow, competing at the Division 1 level in Ireland. In this role, he supported player development through detailed performance analysis while also assisting players in building professional profiles and highlight videos to pursue opportunities post-college in Ireland and the UK.
Additionally, his experience with the Football Association of Ireland as a Men’s Colleges and Universities Team Analyst included pre-camp player evaluation, opposition scouting, and post-match analysis against top international competition, including France, Wales, and Scotland.
Through this leadership, NUSA players and families will receive hands-on guidance throughout the recruiting process, combining modern tools with real-world expertise to better navigate the pathway to the next level.
Looking Ahead
As NUSA continues to grow and evolve, this integration represents another step toward providing a complete development pathway for our players, both on and off the field. By combining modern recruiting tools with experienced guidance, we are committed to helping our athletes take ownership of their journey and maximize their opportunities at the next level.
With the 2026/2027 season approaching, we look forward to implementing SportsRecruits across our teams and continuing to build an environment that supports long-term player success.
