Nashville United Soccer Academy Celebrates Two State Champions in 2025/26 Tennessee State Soccer Association Championships

NASHVILLE, TN (June 18, 2026) – Nashville United Soccer Academy (NUSA) is proud to announce that two of its girls teams, 09G Maroon and G14 Navy, have been crowned champions of the 2025/26 Tennessee State Soccer Association Championships. Both teams capped off outstanding seasons with resilient performances throughout the tournament, showcasing the club’s commitment to player development and competitive excellence.

The 09G Maroon team delivered a composed and determined run through the tournament, highlighted by strong defensive organization and clinical moments in the attacking third. In a tightly contested final, the group demonstrated resilience under pressure, managing key moments of the match with maturity and discipline. Their ability to control the tempo, combine effectively in possession, and execute in critical situations ultimately secured the championship victory.

Leading the way for 09G Maroon were All-Tournament selections Sadie Sheehan, Maggie Bosworth, Isabella Medure, and Lindsey West, each playing a pivotal role throughout the competition. Their performances reflected consistency, leadership, and impact on both sides of the ball during the team’s championship run.

Similarly, the G14 Navy team showcased grit and determination across every round of the tournament. Battling through highly competitive matchups, the team consistently found ways to respond to challenges, whether by breaking down organized defenses or holding firm in key defensive moments. In the final, G14 Navy displayed composure and confidence, capitalizing on their opportunities while maintaining a disciplined defensive shape to secure the title.

Ellie Bezuidenhout, Riley Bender, and Ashlyn Grigsby earned All-Tournament honors for their standout contributions. Their performances were instrumental in driving the team forward and maintaining a high level of play throughout the tournament.
