Satellite Programs

Satellite Programs

Our satellite academies make Nashville United Soccer Academy more accessible to families in surrounding communities. With locations in Donelson, Nolensville, Murfreesboro and Spring Hill, these programs provide players the opportunity to train, learn, and grow under the NUSA philosophy in their local area.

Our satellite programs provide a complete development pathway, beginning with the Pre & Lower Academy (u7-u12) and now extending into Upper Academy opportunities. Starting in the 2026/27 season, u13 and u14 teams will be introduced, with additional age groups added each year. Click Here for more information.

This growth ensures that families in surrounding communities have access to the same NUSA training experience, philosophy, and player development pathway, closer to home.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are NUSA Satellite Programs?

Our satellite programs are community-based extensions of NUSA that allow players to train in more localized environments while still receiving the same club methodology, coaching standards, and development pathway as our main Brentwood teams.

Which age groups are included?

Historically, satellites have served Pre & Lower Academy players (u7-u12). Beginning in the 2026/27 season, we are expanding to include Upper Academy teams starting with u13 and u14, with additional age groups added over time. Read more information here.

Is the training the same as NUSA’s Brentwood Teams?

Yes. All satellite programs follow the same NUSA curriculum, coaching principles, and player development standards. The only difference is location, not methodology.

Who coaches the satellite teams?

All satellite teams are led by NUSA licensed coaches who are part of our full-time or approved coaching staff, ensuring consistency across every location. See here for our list of coaches.

Where are satellite trainings held?

Each satellite location is selected based on accessibility, safety, and quality of facilities, allowing families to train closer to home without sacrificing development standards. See here for a full list of NUSA training locations.

Will satellite players have access to advancement opportunities?

Absolutely. Players in satellite programs are evaluated consistently and have the same opportunities to progress into higher-level teams within the NUSA pathway.

Why does NUSA run satellite locations?

To make high-level player development more accessible to families across Middle Tennessee while maintaining a consistent club identity, coaching standard, and pathway to higher levels of play.

Do satellite players still compete against other NUSA teams?

Yes. Throughout the season, NUSA teams, particularly at the Lower Academy level, will take part in inter-club friendlies where satellite teams may compete against other NUSA sides. In addition, depending on tournament structure, bracket placement, and progression, satellite teams may also face other NUSA teams or Brentwood-based teams in competitive play.
