Expansion of Satellite Pathway & Locations

NASHVILLE, TN (March 2, 2026) – Nashville United Soccer Academy (NUSA) is proud to announce a major expansion of its Satellite programming, including the addition of u13 and u14 age groups next season and the launch of a new Satellite location in Murfreesboro.

Beginning in the 2026/27 season, u13 and u14 teams will be added at the following NUSA Satellite locations:

  • Donelson

  • Nolensville

  • Spring Hill

  • Murfreesboro (New Location)

This decision comes directly from feedback gathered from NUSA families across its Satellite communities, who expressed a strong desire for players to continue training locally beyond the early academy years while remaining within the NUSA system.

“We are constantly listening to our membership,” said NUSA leadership. “Families want a clear pathway that allows their players to grow within NUSA for the long term, without having to leave their community too early. This expansion is a direct response to that feedback.”

Introducing NUSA Murfreesboro

As part of this growth initiative, NUSA is excited to officially launch NUSA Murfreesboro as the club’s newest Satellite location.

The addition of Murfreesboro strengthens NUSA’s regional presence and commitment to making high-level development accessible across Middle Tennessee. With the same curriculum, coaching standards, and club-wide philosophy, Murfreesboro players will be fully integrated into the NUSA developmental pathway from day one.

This expansion reflects NUSA’s belief that quality training, character development, and opportunity should be available to families across the region.

Expanding the Pathway: u13 & u14 and Beyond

The addition of u13 and u14 teams in Donelson, Nolensville, Spring Hill, and Murfreesboro marks a significant step forward in building a complete upper academy pathway within each Satellite location.

These age groups represent a critical stage in a player’s development, when technical foundation, tactical awareness, physical growth, and mental resilience begin accelerating. By keeping players in their local Satellite communities longer, NUSA provides:

  • Continued development within the NUSA methodology

  • Reduced travel demands during key growth years

  • Stronger continuity with coaches and teammates

  • A smoother progression into higher levels of competition

Most importantly, this allows families to see a clear future within NUSA, not just for the early years, but throughout their player’s developmental journey.

A Five-Year Growth Plan: One Age Group at a Time

The expansion does not stop at u14.

NUSA has committed to a structured, sustainable plan to add one age group per year in each Satellite location over the next five years, ultimately building a full upper academy pathway.

For example:

  • In the 2027/28 season, the newly formed u14 teams will advance to u15.

  • The following year, those teams will progress to u16.

  • This process will continue annually until a complete pathway is established.

This phased model ensures intentional growth, competitive integrity, and consistent coaching standards across all locations.

“Our goal is long-term clarity,” NUSA leadership added. “When families join NUSA in Donelson, Nolensville, Spring Hill, or Murfreesboro, they will know there is a structured plan in place for the next five years and beyond.”

Strengthening Communities

With the addition of Murfreesboro and the expansion of upper academy age groups across all Satellite locations, NUSA continues to invest in local communities while maintaining one unified club identity.

This initiative reinforces NUSA’s commitment to:

  • Providing a complete developmental pathway

  • Growing the game in multiple Middle Tennessee communities

  • Maintaining high coaching standards across all locations

  • Prioritizing long-term player development over short-term results

The result is a model that balances local accessibility with club-wide opportunity, allowing players to grow where they live while remaining connected to the broader NUSA vision.

Looking Ahead

The 2026/27 season will mark an exciting new chapter for NUSA Satellite programming. With u13 and u14 teams launching in Donelson, Nolensville, Spring Hill, and Murfreesboro, and a clear five-year roadmap for continued expansion, NUSA is building a future-focused pathway designed to support players at every stage of their development.

More details regarding tryouts, coaching staff, and Murfreesboro programming will be announced in the coming weeks.
